Forty years ago, a seventeen year old boy stood at a microphone in a small, old studio in Newark, New Jersey. He was filled with excitement as he sang songs eminating from the light of the gospel deep within him.

Through the years, at times, that inner light seemed to dim as life’s experiences became almost too hard to bear. But God! In His faithfulness never allowed that light to be extinguished.

I am no longer that young boy. However, I stand before this microphone as I have so many times before – to now share the light that has survived. It shines warmer, brighter and with more intensity then ever before. Praise God!
